My friend Ilona gave me an update on Aladdin’s:
In the shopping center at Falls of the Neuse and Lynn Road/Spring Forest Road, next to the now defunct Soup Man, is a restaurant called Aladdin’s Eatery. It is just about the best Mediterranean food I have had in the Triangle. A pretty comprehensive menu with some fusion items. Great desserts. I went with Courtney and loved it. Check it out. Their appreciation plate was $7.99. Courtney got a chili/soup w/feta cheese that she loved. Best hummous ever.
The franchise operation has 26 restaurants located in six states, mostly in Ohio. The Raleigh eatery is the only NC location. The restaurants were founded in 1994 by Fady and Sally Chamoun.
The Lebanese/American restaurant’s menu features distinctive rolled pita sandwiches, pita pockets, and “Pitza’s” made with homemade pita bread. Over 70 menu items are Vegetarian or Vegan. Imported olive oil is used for both homemade salad dressings and saute’s. Aladdin’s Eatery offers 12 varieties of natural herb teas without artificial flavoring or preservatives. Juices are squeezed to order to ensure maximum freshness.
