On Nov. 16, Golden Corral will thank active-duty and retired United States Military personnel for their service with a free dinner buffet and beverage, while raising donations for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) as part of Military Appreciation Monday.
A tradition started nine years ago to celebrate our nation’s heroes, Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday has served more than two million complimentary meals to military personnel and generated nearly $3.3 million in contributions to the DAV. Area residents are encouraged to attend the Military Appreciation Monday festivities and donate to the local and state DAV chapters.
Opening remarks for the chains event will be given at the Golden Corral at 6129 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh by Golden Corral co-founder and Chairman James Maynard Golden Corral President and CEO Ted Fowler, and Disabled American Veterans Disabled American Veterans, North Carolina State Adjutant Wally Tyson.
There will be a presentation of the colors by JROTC Color Guard, National Anthem and other patriotic music by local high school bands, local active-duty and retired military dining with family and friends, as well as DAV representatives greeting guests, receiving donations.
